The Spud Ride started in 2005 from an idea spun out of a similiar ride I did in Arizona with my younger brother. It is a MTB ride that last all day and tranverses York county in southcentral PA. We ride 3 of the York County Parks (Rocky Ridge, Kain, & Spring Valley) along with parts of the York Railtrail and city streets to get a combined 60-70 mile ride. The ride is for fun and is not a race, however, it is a tough ride and tends to be fairly fast. We take many breaks to bust balls, harrass each other and eat/drink beer. NO WHINNING ALOUD! Just some good ole cycling shenanigans. The "Sweet Potato" (heaviest rider) is our leader and he wears the coveted orange jersey. Show up, ride hard, have fun and experience what I feel mountainbiking should be...
This ride is to promote good fun in mountain biking and to encourage group rides. You are responsible for your own well being. You and yourself are responsible for yourself, however, other spuds may or may not help and/or encourage you to finish. This is a tough ride! It is not for beginners! You may get injured or die! Ride at your own risk. This ride encompasses many tough trails, hills, public roads and other technical obstacles. No crybabies allowed. You are responsible for making fun of, harrassing, pushing, farting on, peeing on others wheels and all other types of no good. No one will do it for you! I have enough trouble making fun of everyone else and I don;t want to have to do it for you! If you cannot hack it, Don't come! To be continued.....
Flash is one of my best support people. He's also my training partner for Boston M.
